Reconditioned Vitamix vs New Vitamix Blenders
Something I want to make very clear. Certified Reconditioned Vitamix blenders are NOT refurbished machines.
Refurbished implies that the machines were broken, Vitamix repaired them, and then is reselling them. Vitamix does not do that.
These are machines that have been returned to Vitamix for any number of reasons (ex. – buyer’s remorse, got two as a gift, etc).
Therefore they cannot be then sold as new.
The difference between a certified reconditioned Vitamix vs a New Vitamix is each blender goes through a 17-point inspection process and anything that could have potentially touched food is replaced with brand new items: container, lid, tamper and cookbook.
They have a slightly lower warranty, but are still designed to run well past their warranty.
Reconditioned Vitamix blenders usually come with a 5-year warranty, however there are a couple models with 3 years (Reconditioned Propel 510 and Explorian series).
Either way some customers prefer to buy NEW Vitamix blenders over reconditioned Vitamix, because it provides a longer warranty.
But in all honesty, the blenders are exactly the same and you would be hard to find a Vitamix sale that can beat our exclusive Vitamix deals!
