HYDRATING WATERMELON MARTINI COCKTAIL RECIPE

This light, refreshing and oh-so-simple watermelon martiniย cocktailย recipeย is the perfect poolside addition to your summer!

It’s super hydrating (and can help combat a hangover),ย but to makeย this delicious treatย evenย more healthy, Blender Babes recommends usingย watermelon withย seeds!

Aย high-poweredย blender will pulverize the watermelon seeds, giving you an added protein boost, while still maintainingย a silky, smooth consistency.

Of course, you can stillย make this cocktailย with a regular blender –ย just blendย the watermelon first, strain, then add the rest of theย ingredients.

Hydrating Watermelon Martini

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh Watermelon cubed and chilled
  • 2 ounces of your favorite Vodka such as Grey Goose
  • 1 ounce Triple Sec OR Grand Marnier
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup ice*

Instructions
 

  • Place the watermelon ad ice* into the blender and secure lid.
  • For Blendtec: Press ICE CRUSH button OR use Manual Speed 7 for 30 seconds.
  • For Vitamix and other variable speed blenders: Select VARIABLE Speed 1. Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to VARIABLE Speed 10/High. Blend for 30 seconds.
  • Add the vodka, triple sec and lime juice and blend on low for 5 seconds.
  • Divide among two glasses, serve immediately.

* For a more potent watermelon flavor, omit the ice and use frozen watermelon.
